Dear Parents/Carers

SCHOOL MEALS

With effect from the beginning of the Autumn Term, Tuesday 2nd September 2019. The cost of a School lunch will be:-

Primary age £2.35 per day, a total of £11.75 per week for five lunches.

Secondary age £2.45 per day, a total of £12.25 per week for five lunches

We would be grateful if the correct amount of money could be enclosed in an envelope (cash or cheque made payable to Woodlands School) with your child’s name and class entered on the front, alternatively you can pay online using the ParentPay system. Please contact the school office for further details.

Universal Free School Meals can be accessed by all Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 pupils, so if your child is moving into Year 3 in September, they will no longer be eligible for these meals. If you are a parent in receipt of Government benefits you will need to apply for Free School Meals with the local authority, which will also unlock additional funding. Please use the link below to apply for Free School Meals.

You can apply by accessing the www.warwickshire.gov.uk/freeschoolmeals web address or via telephone on 01926 742060. Application forms can also be downloaded from the school website or supplied by the office. This service will only indicate if you are eligible for Free School Meals and will not divulge any other personal information.

Yours sincerely

Dear Parents/Carers

Thank you for your responses to the consultation re the change of the Woodlands day. I am pleased to inform you that we had a staggering 138 responses. 87.7% of parents/carers were in favour of the Woodlands day for pupils finishing at 3pm instead of 3.15pm.

The Local Authority and specialist transport have been informed. They also support the change, and can foresee no significant difficulties.

Therefore, from the 3rd September 2019 (pupils' first day back after the holidays), the pupil day will finish at 3pm.

Thank you for your support in this matter - through the consultation, and in advance of September. I genuinely believe that this is in pupils' best interests, and I am really pleased on our young people's behalf.

Yours sincerely
